Choose the right software for your device

This policy explains how platform, version, region, and system requirements affect software purchases on Softifix.

Review compatibility before buying

Before checkout, review the product title, selected variation, platform, version, duration, system requirements, license features, activation country, and any notes shown on the product page. These details help you choose software that works for your device.

If you are unsure, contact support before buying and send the product name, your operating system, device model, and the version you need.

Windows and Mac versions

Some products have separate Windows and Mac versions. The Mac version may be older or different from the Windows version, depending on publisher availability. When a product page shows a version label inside the Windows or Mac option, that label refers to the software version for that platform.

Choosing the wrong platform may prevent installation or activation. Always select the correct option before adding the product to cart.

System requirements

Software may require a specific operating system, processor, RAM, disk space, graphics support, monitor resolution, internet connection, account type, or additional framework. Requirements can differ between Windows and Mac.

Older devices, unsupported operating systems, virtual machines, modified systems, missing updates, or restricted work/school computers may not be compatible even if the product is normally compatible with the platform.

Activation country and region

Some licenses may have country or region activation rules. If a product page shows an activation country message, review it before checkout. Using a license outside the supported region can cause activation problems.

Region restrictions may be set by the software publisher and may be outside Softifix control.

Accounts, subscriptions, and cloud features

Some software may require a publisher account, internet access, online activation, or ongoing connection to specific services. Lifetime or perpetual license wording does not always include cloud subscriptions, generative AI features, online storage, publisher memberships, or future paid upgrades unless clearly stated.

Check the product description for what is included and what is not included.

Compatibility and refunds

If the product page clearly shows the required platform, version, and requirements, incompatibility caused by choosing the wrong option or using an unsupported device may not qualify for a refund after delivery or activation.

However, if the product information was materially incorrect or the delivered product does not match the selected option, contact support with screenshots and order details so we can review it.
