Description
A perfect model of one of metal?s most coveted amplifiers. The Fortin NTS brings back to life one of the most brutal and versatile sounding amplifiers in the industry. The NTS accurately replicates the tonal and dynamic characteristics of this dual-channel, blisteringly high gain monster.
We worked closely with Mike to capture and recreate every distinct sonic aspect of what makes this amplifier unique: every voltage node, unusual power tube pairings, and even output transformer substrate characteristics were painstakingly reproduced to provide an algorithmically perfect model of one of metal?s most coveted amplifiers.
Grind, Zuul & Hexdrive
Along with the amplifier, a model of Fortin Amplification?s GRIND pedal was added to the virtual signal chain, to create a complete suite that incorporates all the necessary tone-shaping tools for the modern guitarist. Besides additional gain, GRIND adds an incredible amount of clarity and articulation to the sound, making every note defined and present, even when highly distorted. Pro tip: run the 6IRTH control past noon when using the GRIND.
The NTS also features the Fortin ZUUL pedal. Widely regarded as the epitome of noise-gate performance and transparency! This virtual studio-grade noise gate simply gets the job done with a simple straightforward operation. The HEXDRIVE is another addition to the NTS Suite, bringing a previously unreleased Fortin overdrive into the mix of the already versatile suite. Classic and modern overdrive tones can be had with this pedal.
Amp Features
Dual Channel
The Fortin NTS features two channels for ultimate versatility. The lead channel, famous for its unusual adaptability, is paired with a sparkling and crisp clean.
6RIND & 6IRTH Controls
These frequency selective gain controls interact with the 6AIN knob to give you total control over the frequency range saturation, and distortion characteristics. Equipping the NTS Lead channel with remarkable versatility: with them, you can go from tight, glassy and defined crunch to fat and full high gain distortion, and everything in between.
Cabsim
It is hard to overstate the importance of well-captured cabinets in a rig?s overall tonal character. To offer maximum flexibility, we engineered a very comprehensive and adaptive cabinet simulation module: featuring six virtual microphones, which can be positioned around the speakers. This module can also serve as a standard loader for your favorite impulse response files.
These features can be used on both mono and stereo configurations; the latter allows for a second microphone to be added with full panning, microphone-level, and phase parameters in addition to position and distance, for ultimate control and endless sonic possibilities.
